Diamond Gallery, Part 1

Isaac Mostovicz writes...

Some of our most popular posts on Janus Thinking have been about unique diamonds, so I thought it would be interesting to create a new gallery of some unique and beautiful diamonds.

Yellow diamonds are becoming increasingly popular–this particular ring is a 5.11-carat radiant cut ring from De Beers.

Flawless Blue Diamond

Diamond clarity (on the GIA scale) runs from Included to Slightly Included to Very Slightly Included to VVS to Internally Flawless to Flawless. This is an example of the clearest diamond, a flawless blue diamond sold at auction last fall.

Synthetic diamonds, like this one from Apollo Diamond, lack the provenance of true ‘forged from the earth’ diamonds, but their quality has been increasing rapidly over the past few years.

A fair trade diamond, like this one from Brilliant Earth, is certified conflict-free.

Diamonds are available in a range of colours, with pink arguably being the rarest and most valuable. 95% of these are from the Argyle mine in western Australia.

What makes a diamond special really depends on the what the person it’s intended for is looking for. It’s beautiful when diamonds represent true love, and every glance at the stone is a reminder of that love.

Tiffany Etoile

A typical Theta, who seeks affiliation and control as an ultimate life purpose,  might like this diamond, the Tiffany Etoile, which is beautiful and modern yet still fits the classic ideal of what a diamond engagement ring should be.

Lambdas seek achievement and uniqueness as an ultimate end goal. The exclusivity of this diamond would certainly set its owner apart from the pack.

But in the end, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. I find the clean and simple lines of this ring truly exceptional.
